Mission
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. For nearly a century, the Washington County Chapter has worked diligently to fulfill that mission on behalf of residents of Washington County.
History
The American Red Cross, Washington County Chapter was founded in 1917 as part of the American National Red Cross, the nation's foremost humanitarian organization. The Washington County Chapter has a proud history of providing emergency disaster relief, services to members of the Armed Forces, blood services and health and safety programs for all ages.
