CPR/AED - Adult
Adult CPR deals with victims eight years of age or older. This course covers all cardiac and breathing emergency skills, including how to perform rescue breathing, clear an obstructed airway, and perform one rescuer CPR. Standard First Aid
Trains participants to identify and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries. You will learn how to control bleeding, minimize the effects of shock, and care for musculoskeletal injuries and sudden illness due to poisoning and heat and cold related emergencies. Ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid skills but does not need rescue breathing or CPR training.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer/Health Care Provider
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer/Health Care Provider teaches students to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants, use an AED on an adult or child victim of cardiac arrest and use personal protective equipment to stop bloodborne pathogens and other diseases from spreading.

Pet First Aid
Your pet depends on you for his or her well-being. In addition to providing daily care, love and affection, your best friend depends on you in an emergency. Whether your pet becomes ill or injured, or needs help in a disaster, the American Red Cross can help.
Our Pet First Aid book and Pet First Aid course teaches you emergency care procedures for cats and dogs and provides tips for keeping your pet happy and healthy too.
Pet first aid teaches vital safety skills including how to:
- administer medications
- recognize an emergency
- perform CPR, first aid and choking skills
- Build a pet first aid kit and much more

Babysitter Boot Camp
Babysitter’s Training has been newly revised by the American Red Cross with input from youth. The course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussions.
You’ll learn to be the best babysitter on the block. Plus, you’ll gain the confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation.
You’ll learn how to: Supervise children and infants Perform basic child-care skills such as diapering and feeding Choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys Handle bedtime and discipline issues Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries Care for common injuries and emergencies such as choking, burns, cuts and bee stings Communicate effectively with parents Find and interview for babysitting jobs Perform Infant and Child CPR Perform Standard First Aid

ERVs: Ready, Set, Roll
This basic level Disaster Services course prepares volunteers and employees of the Red Cross to safely and effectively use an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) and its equipment to meet feeding and other service needs of people affected by disaster.
• Length of course: This course consists of two parts. The first part contains approximately three hours of self-study. At the conclusion of the self-study, participants must attend the second part, which consists of the combination of an ERV orientation and a road test. Participants must complete both parts of the course. The total estimated time to complete the second part of the course is dependent upon the number of participants and the availability of equipment.
